EBACE 2018

From 29 to 31 May 2018 took place at Geneva Palaexpo and in the Geneva Airport (Switzerland) the EBACE 2018 (European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition), the most important event for business aviation in Europe.
Organized by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), since 2001 it has been the meeting point for industries, operators, suppliers and all organizations that manage and regulate business aviation.

Best Shot Aircraft – “The Easy Way to Fly High” participated this year for the first time at this important event. EBACE 2018 was dedicated this year to Serge Dassault, a French businessman who died on May 28 in Paris (F). Famous for his Dassault Aviation he was also a famous French politician.

Dassault present at the EBACE 2018 exhibited its main three versions of Falcon business jet in the static display: the Falcon 8X, the Falcon 900LX, and the Falcon 2000LXS. Inside the Palaexpo in its elegant stand, however, the main models of its civil and military aircraft. Among these were the Falcon 6X, the Rafale and the nEUROn drone, developed in collaboration with some European companies including the Swiss Company RUAG and the Italian Leonardo.

ACJ, Airbus Corporate Jets, presented to the EBACE the new cabin project “Harmony” previously conceived for the ACJ330 the project was also extended to the ACJ350.
The Honda Aircraft Company has brought its HondaJet Elite advanced version of the previous model. For this model, which recently obtained the FAA and EASA certifications, Honda has also announced the commercialization.

The Boeing Business Jet in addition to an interesting stand with exposed models of the future BBJ, has led the BBJ MAX one of the most popular business jet based on the Boeing 737 MAX. Bombardier presented the innovations of the Global line and brought in the static display the new Global 7500 test aircraft model that guarantees long-range flights.

Gulfstream on the other hand has brought its flagship models, much appreciated by the public and the media. For the first time in Europe we could see the G600, next to the G500, the G550 and the G650ER. Also the Piaggio Aerospace was present at the EBACE 2018 with a stand in the Palaexpo and outside presenting the new P180 Avanti Evo, the latest version of the P180.

Among the various stands of Palaexpo you could find all the solutions for European and world business aviation. Just mention some of the companies present, such as Lufthansa Technik or Garmin, or Pratt & Witney with its PW800. There were many aircraft brokers and suppliers for business aviation. The importance of participating in this annual exhibition is essential for all companies in the sector.

Geneva could not miss the presence of Swiss companies, including Pilatus with its main models PC12 NG and PC24. But they were also present: Jet Aviation, AMAC Aerospace and also Sparfell & Partners that with its idea of transforming an Airbus A380 into a business jet has amazed the public in Geneva. The Pilatus also took the opportunity to present in the Palaexpo a PC12 NG with a livery designed by the famous Swiss artist: Esther Gerber. Best Shot Aircraft – “The Easy Way to Fly High” has had the honor together with another Swiss newspaper to assist and photograph the signature of the work by the Swiss artist.

As excellent as ever, the Geneva exhibition has worthily presented the business aviation world with its novelties and also eccentricities.

We are anxious to participate again next year.
